Gold Pimpin

I had some fun throwing together this new look and made it into a pimpin style outfit. The jacket is from Faster Pussycat, The hair and musical hairbase is KMADD. I love the textures on the jacket and of course have a few but the Mandala tie puts it all together for me. Forget the shirt and let it go 80's style! That is the feeling I have with this outfit, a bit of the 80's but definitely pimipin!

Gabriel Goodies

I love it When I get to a store that has new clothes or items that I have not seen before. I was very happy to get to Gabriel and find a host of clothing and assessories that I have not seen before and that work for my personal style. The Pea Coat comes with a sweater that is color change, the pants are sold separately but have boots that come with the pants that are well built and does away with the struggle of finding the right shoe that doesn't bleed through clothes! The glasses are also from Gabriel and are very well designed. I took pictures in our new Fanatik build. It has a Warehouse feel but will be our gallery and hopefully will be filled soon!

Rocking at Musiclandia

I found a great sim last week at my favorite early morning punk show hosted by Milton Nightfire and Kookie Hax. The traveling punk review was at the Musiclandia sim and it gave me a chance to go explore! It is true art work in the celebration of music. A grand piano that is a type of centerpiece made of brick and at least three stories tall. The inside of the open lid piano is the dance floor and stage area. But this is just the beginning! I recommend you go explore for yourself as the sim has a limited lifetime. I decided to get Pie in a shot there just to use the amazing interactive sim as a backdrop, and to plug this sim! Inventory Sorting

I took time to get a little OCD with the inventory, let me explain. I started taking all the mesh clothing into a new inventory and taking 512X512 pictures to add to the various pants, shirts, and shoes files. So I can open the file, and see what is the item actually looks like (some files have pictures but this is my way of seeing a photo that is not an alpha layer or add for the company). This may seem extreme yet I can't really remember the look of every piece of garment Pie has by any means. So I had a chance to look at ALL of my pants, shirts, and shoes and made a few outfits just because I felt like it. Here is one that started with a Gocha hat from Sleepy Eddy, an Unorthodox goatee, lots of jewelry, hand, neck, ear, lip and nose. Xplosion pants, Innuendo Sneakers and an American Bazaar blazer.

I love finding good city sims that make me feel like I am actually in the city. This background does just that for me and makes the look pop just that much more. The summer is winding down now so the short-sleeves  are coming to an end, and goodbye to the shorts!I picked up this Hustle shirt from Traphouse Collective, threw on a DEF cap, some big hoops, a boxing gloves necklace and BAAAAMMM! I love the look with a platinum hairbase and some GOS glasses! The XRaw jeans are great please check them out I love the textured designs and the fact that they don't bleed through most tee shirts! Ok enough blathering...

Visiting the Bronx...@ Mad City

I have seen dozens of posts done at Mad City and instantly recognize it every time. I guess because it reminds me of parts of the Bronx where I lived for a few years and the sim evokes that from me. I love the feel of the sim and the windlight they use there but decided to black and white as it feels like an old place to me. There is also a rainy part of the sim that looks great with the bubbling ground animation. I saw an umbrellaed SL resident (Dawnia Donogal) in the background of a few shots I took (you can see her in the background) and as I got closer asked if she would be in a closer shot. Dawnia was nice enough to hang out with her umbrella open and provide information on her outfit as well! I love SL for all the incidental things, the spontaneous things that happen that truly mock life's unpredictable moments. Here is the shoot.

American Pie

As long as it is still close to the 4th of July, I am still going to fly the colors here. I found that every year SL improves in the last minute items for holidays beyond the big goofy-looking Irish hats of yesteryear. I found some nice American style tattoos and some great American patriotic wear to make the outfit boom. The prize was finding some red, white, and blue punk-style hair. The Tank from Anarchy Ink is a hud change shirt so there are a variety of Independence day oriented textures.

Toys in the Attic

I was at one of my favorite clubs in SL "Attic" and decided to snap some shots of this outfit I put together around a Razor shirt, 22769 [Bauwerk] Pants, and some other accessories. I have been having fun finding cool places to shoot in the clubs I frequent and always find a great background. Attic is one of my favorites as the the owners and DJs Leto Zerbino and Steel Howlett Always have a extremely appealing build that will change periodically. It is done now in "Urban-return-of-the-50's-creatures" context (hope that's close!).  Come to the Sim and see for your self and get ready to tp into great music and eye-candy.

SecondPride Celebrating June 14-24

Its not too late to lend your support to PR1D3 and celebrate diversity SL style. I showed up today to dance to DJ Regimade (Regi Yifu)and was met by over 69 avatars. Too many to even make my computer see anything but grey avatars!  The music was fun, the atmosphere was very festive and the designers and creators were all set up for vending. I got to shop a bit later and saw a fashion show and have to admit I have a few things to blog about very soon. The Tiger

I found a great line of clothes only available on Marketplace called Phunk. High quality mesh suits and Tuxes, wing-tipped shoes and jackets that have textures that are extremely enjoyable to wear and view. There is a large variety of styles (lots of animal styles, zebra, leopard, lizard, gator) that are fun and the classic black pin-stripes and others that are fashionable as well. The price is right as the suit includes high quality shoes and looks great on the avi! I will be showing off more very soon as I can't be helped and bought a few!! I love this Tiger Tux and had to sport it!

The Big Kauna

I have been doing a lot of formal suit lately but theres a good reason. The mesh designs and textures available from several of the creators ar quite impressive and I find it hard to not put up the Lindens. This suit from Kauna that I got at Mens Department is rich in texture, and has the shading and pieces all in place. The suit adds on by shirt and tie, then pants, then jacket. There is an extra hud for ties and pocket handkerchief (and of course I got it!!). I hope the richness of this suit comes through as firestorm was very kind today.

Viva Las Vegas

This is a great Evolve jacket and suit that always gets comments in local! This is another gem from Evolve that has flash, color and if you see the back, some great texture and artwork. I added a more punk raised hair From Mr.C and note the details on the MADesigns hairbase I have a few.Some casual shoes and this suit is a wrap. I took the pictures at The Mercury Room not in the ballroom but the stage where Owl Sweetwater has her burlesque reviews.

Hell Bent for Leather

Putting together great leather outfits in SL is getting easier with the amount and quality of certain  designers in world. My Friend's INFI Graves and Holster "Hellcat Bettie Bones" Lander got together and we put on some leather, got biker'd-up and lets just say threw it down. A good looking array of leather on INFI from Grasp and Piedmont from L&B. Holster is right in there with any biker crew with her LOLA's, Para designs Tats, and the Skeleton FK skirt.

GlamDammit Zebra Tuxedo

So this is more from Menswear Fashion Week that I am just getting to. The Zebra Tuxedo from GlamDammit is quite a looker, the textures are rich and well shadowed and this tribute to Siegfried (From Siegfried and Roy) Tux works well for classic and punk. I put some eyeliner and darkened the eyes up and threw on my white, metal-tipped cowboy loafers to make it pop. I am at The Mercury Room again in the background and quite enjoyed doing a few shoots here.
