I have heard Meri spin tunes at AAi over the last two years and always get a good dose of Indie tunes, ska, and whatever the flavor of the day is at AAi! I always end up having a good time, a good chat up, and leave there feeling a right bouncey! OK..the British Dj's always get me into good humor, and expect that when you go as local chat is always hoppin and poppin! 

Are you DJing currently and where? Yes! I DJ Sundays 1-3pm slt at AAi. Thom (Thomas Thaler, my partner in crime and in the club) and I share the time slot so you're bound to get one of us.

When did you start DJing? In days of old, when knights were bold and ladies weren't invented.  Oh, seriously? Since not long after I started in SL in 2008.

First Club? The first rule of fight club is you don't talk about fight club.  Oh you said first club? Well, unusually, I began managing Popscene before I started DJing and within a year of doing that, I moved on to club ownership and AAi.

Most unusual thing you saw while DJing? AAi isn't very big and a giant came there once, there was just a huge pair of feet dancing away and killing and maiming all the other avas. Maybe you had to be there, but it was very funny. We also had a naked night and it was great to see all our friends with their mismatched tackle on show *grins*

Favorite music? What kind of question is this? Ugh and eek. Well, I love indie music, but not so much the shoegazey stuff, that just makes me sleep. I like music with a good bassline and a bit of kickass about it.

I like some music from each of the following genres: garage rock, triphop, R&R, punk, post-punk, hip-hop, dance, new wave, 80s, goth, jazz, soul, old R&B (can't abide D&B)

Influences? The Smiths, Joy Division, Suzanne Vega, Chrissie Hynde, Ella Fitzgerald, David Bowie

What do you listen to at home? My own setlists mostly, I put quite a lot into them and so I like everything I play.

Do you have a regular set you play, a “go to” set? Nooo! I play a different set every week, freshly baked and jam packed full of whatever I'd like to hear most that day.

When can we hear you DJ usually? Sundays 1-3pm slt at AAi or at the opening of any crisp packets I'm invited to.

Cream and sugar or black? Black, strong and intravenous. No sugar. And while you're at it, bring me that file ;)

Cat or Dog? I am all kinds of squishy for cats. I'm scared of dogs so they lose out in the cats v dogs contest.

If you could take one thing from your inventory for real-life use, what would it be, and why pick it?

My shoes folder. I have a very large collection of shoes in both worlds, but in SL, it really is vast.  They are all so lovely and beautiful and my reason for picking the folder is that if I could store my RL shoes as easily, that'd be very cool, instead of them taking up every available inch of 'top of wardrobe' and 'bedroom floor' space.
